The hour is late. Warn them from me.
This is the last hour. Everyone is asleep. Danger is approaching. Invasion is imminent.
Only you know it. For you are the tower watchmen.
The last watch is a deceptively simple but important assignment. The temptation to slack is strong, but the possibility of a surprise attack is great.
Our King, the Heavenly Father, recruited watchmen throughout the ages. They served faithfully in their times to warn people against evil and to warn of impending destruction. You, Christian of the present, are a watchman of the end times. As we see the signs and read the Scriptures, we know that the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is nearer, much nearer, than it has ever been. The Rapture of the believers is coming soon. The reckoning of things done in the present world is near.
Every one of us is ordered to be a watchman. There is a prime directive to be watchful, prayerfully ready for the Lord's coming, ready to counter the world's influence. There is a direct order to warn others of the need for a Savior, of the need to be a proper soldier of the Lord.
Each watchman brings his own gifts and talents to the mission, and our King allows us to use them. But even as the watchmen are different, the objective is the same for all: to awake, to warn others, to watch.
Our order is clear. The hour is late. Warn them from me.
