Last Saturday evening while my sister and I are going home from a friend's place, we kinda made an impulsive decision to go to Baguio. The conversation went like this.
Rachel: "Ate, help me pack for camp ha. I'm leaving for Baguio on Sunday night"
Ann: "Sama kaya ako? We could leave tonight."
Rachel: "Whe... hindi nga?"
Ann: "Tara, we could take the early morning trip. bukas nasa Baguio na tayo."
Rachel: "Oo nga! Dun tayo kay tito bhel mag stay."
Ann: "Sige. pwede. tapos we could spend 2 days sa city. I'll take you to the camp site!"
Rachel: "Paalam tayo kay Daddy"
Ann: "Yup. Pack na tayo. let's go na! wait...check ko budget ko."
Rachel: "Sige na... lagot tayo sa friends natin, hindi natin sila sinama"
Ann: "pwede na, enough cash. let's go. Baguio na tayo!"
The conversation lasted mga 5 minutes. We got home, asked permission from my Dad. Dad called my tito, who has a house in Baguio and in a matter of 10 minutes we're all set.
We packed for like an hour, had dinner and headed for the bus station.
The trip almost didn't push thru; when we got to the terminal, there's no more ticket for the 1AM or 2AM trip we are hoping to catch. The next one is at 5Am. Dad said we can still go ahead, so we bought the ticket and went back to the terminal by then.
Baguio here we come!!!!
Our itenerary went like this:
Sunday:
11AM- arrival at Baguio, went to tito bhel's house, had lunch, rested for a while.
2PM- went to the city, visited Burnham park, ate street food! (yum!), talked, walked around, ate another street food, took pictures, went to SM Baguio, had coffee.
5PM-went to Pines City Baptist Church for the evening service. met with Ate Gladys, Kuya Don and their kids-ramboy and gwen. Saw other friends from Pines too! tita sheng and arriane, lindsey and janice and baby spurgy, kuya dennis who is visiting the church for deputation. plans were made for the next day.
8PM- went to session road, had dinner
9PM- went home, cleaned up,slept. :)
Monday:
10AM- went to good shepherd convent, checked the view there, long line for ube-didn't get to buy, went to minesview instead, ate banana-que, took pictures, enjoyed the view, bought souvenir shirt
12PM-went to tito bhel's place, ate lunch, rushing...
1PM-rushing to pines to catch ride for the campsite, Rachel went to camp. I stayed with ate Gladys.
3PM-we went to Burnham park, talked with ate glads, ate street food, gwen and ramboy went boating with kuya don and kuya dennis, kids went to the playground and rode bikes
6PM-bought my ticket going home
7PM- dinner with ate glads and family
12AM-took a taxi to the terminal
1AM-headed back to manila!
that was a really quick visit. i wished we could stay longer.
things i love most about the trip:
-i'm with my sister!
-love the weather, as always
-street food at burnham! yum yum
-taxi and the taxi drivers! always gives back the change, always taking short cuts, brings me anywhere i want without any complains! hehehe.
oh well, i hope to go back sometime soon. :)
