the perfect blend- coming very soon!

so why am i talking coffee? that's the wedding theme. the color motif is wine red and gold. nice huh? what can i say, the theme and the motif matches their personality. i am so glad that they chose a theme, not many couples like to do that. i like thematic weddings, it gives you more room for creativity. i'm thinking about explaining why they chose coffee as a theme, but i won't spoil it for you. you have to be at the wedding to find out!

it was just last week that i met with the couple; they gave me this big responsibility of coordinating their special day. my task is to bring it all together. Friday, lunchtime, the couple treated me to a very good meal at the Executive Dinning Hall of ADB. (It's my first time there, it feels very corporate and classy. hehe. very very different from what i'm used to at Yehey!) oh well, back to the meeting. it was my first time to actually sit with them and discuss the wedding details-finally! i was nudging kuya jon to meet earlier, but i know him better...everything gets tied in together at the last minute! haha. the wedding is set on the last day of the month and we have a few weeks to go to polish and tie all loose ends together. thankfully, they got the major part done already. i just have to take care of small details and always remind them that time is ticking very fast. one more wink and it's the week of the wedding already.

the meeting got me really excited. my wedding mode turned on and then list of things to accomplish soon followed:

Ann's tasks:

-Remind B&G of pending tasks for the wedding

-Check Wedding and reception program

-submit reception game to take the place of the B&G

-submit possible table names- coffee themed

-Meet w/ Emcee, Music Director, String Quartet, and Ushers to discuss program flow and other details of the wedding

-Remind all suppliers about pending tasks, call time and etc.

-coordinate w/ Kuya John for rehearsal of wedding ceremony and reception special numbers. Ask Kuya John to practice Genieve.

-conduct wedding rehearsal

-remind participants of the wedding rehearsal (call time, venue and etc.)

-follow up RSVP for selected guests, specified by the B&G

-remind entourage and guests of wedding time and venue the day before the wedding

Then, there's a joint shower and stag party to plan on the side! exciting isn't it?

-finalize time and date

-book venue

-make invites

-distribute invites

-prepare a surprise

good thing i have friends who are thinking of the same thing and they are most willing to help!

it is always nice to do weddings for your friends. i'm so excited for kuya jon and ate tara! can't wait to have a taste of the perfect cup!
