2 days of Movie Madness

I watch TV as a form of relaxation after a stressful day at work. The routine would be work, go home, rest for a while, have dinner, then watch TV before getting ready for bed.

Monday

I saw "My Girl" showing on HBO. Without hesitancy I watched the movie again. As i was watching, i felt a tiny feeling of nostalgia. i remember first seeing this movie when i was in
elementary or first year in highschool. it became quite a hit with my peers. As the movie progress, i realized somethings:
-i fell in love with the "weeping willow tree by the lake" scenery from this movie
In fact, during my Art Appreciation class in college where we were required to do a painting, I chose almost the same scene, expect the one i painted was a night time scene with full moon. i didn't know then why i chose that particular picture then, it is only now that i realized that that weeping willow tree made its mark in my mind.

-i miss the good old carefree days of childhood
yeah, call me a
drama queen but i do. its nice to remember those days where all you have to worry about is getting a good grade at school and what you are going to do in the afternoon with your friends. i especially love the scene where Veda and Thomas J were riding their bikes, i kinda remember doing that with my friends as well. Sigh!

-i miss my friends
awww....lately i haven't been hagning out a
lot with them. i've been hiding inside my shell. hehehe. it's nice to have someone you could share stuff with.

Tuesday
An officemate let me borrow his Korean movie DVD. He recomended that i watch "Parang Juiibo" So i did. The movie was a real tear jerker. i cried a lot in this movie. hehehe. I've seen quit a number of Korean films already. I can say that i like their way of storytelling, how they carry your emotions within the story. in one movie, you could feel a wide array of emotions. With this film, i was reminded why i got into Korean films:

-their love stories make you remember about the first time you had a crush and fell in love.
-the scenery in most of their films are "romantic"
-there's always an unexpected twist in the story
-the background music never fails to either tickle or twist your heart
-there are specific scenes that will get stamped on your mind whether you like it or not
-there are certain lines you take with you hehehe

These are just based on most of the films i saw. well, one funny observation about Korean movies- their leading ladies are really pretty! but the leading men????uhm...not really good.
hehehe. not the type that would make girls swoon even after watching. hahahaha!

Let me see...i still have several Korean films in my MUST SEE MOVIE list. i hope they'll be as good as the others! :)
